Don’t link to me, I can’t stand it and I don’t want it. I just want to be an anonymous blogger writing down my random thoughts, not knowing if anyone is reading them. If you don’t link to me I’ll be just that. I can just about afford to pay for my domain and a bit of hosting without needing any exposure whatsoever. No need for links, no need for social bookmarking. I’m an anonymous SEO guy with an exposure complex. No Links Please!
If you do link to me I’m stuffed, Google will actually see me then I’m doomed. People might find my stuff when they search in Google. They might read it and they might post comments. That means I’d have to reply then get into the sticky subject of blogger/reader relationships. If you link to me bots will visit and use my bandwidth. People might take an interest in some of my services and start asking for quotes and help. I’m busy enough already, surely. All this extra work will eat into my family time and my son will grow up thinking Daddy is too busy for fun. If you link to me, friends might find me by looking for my name in Google then they’ll start reading about what I do at work and will figure I’m too much of a geek to hang out with anymore. Basically link to me and I’m stuffed.
