I can be a bit crap sometimes at updating software. I tend to figure that if the old one worked, why risk disrupting everything for a new version which might not work as well. Well that philosophy keeps me using old versions of Office and Photoshop, but doesn’t apply to browsers.
Hot on the heels of MS IE7 is the New Firefox 2 browser. I’ve just downloaded it, I’m about to install it and I’m so excited I’ve had to post about it here. I know – SAD . Hope it keeps the battle raging between Firefox and IE.
UPDATE – after a day of using it, Firefox 2 has crashed 8 times. Really poor. If it was a product I’d bought from a shop I’d have taken it back already and exchanged it for their competitor’s product.
FURTHER UPDATE – it turns out it was nothing to do with Firefox. It was one of the plugins like Google Toolbar or something that was causing it to crash. When I switched off all the third party plugins Firefox went back to being steady as a rock.
