Google Earth used on ITV News for 9/11

Last night I spied Google Earth being used on ITV’s 10 o’clock news show in the UK. They used it to zoom out from a satellite photo of Ground Zero and spin around the world to Afghanistan. Full screen, no menus or anything. Is this a new venture for Google perhaps – selling their satellite imagery to TV stations?
