I’ve been unsubscibing to pretty much every newsletter that comes through, but one email today from Borders impressed me enough to not hit unsubscribe immediately.

It was dead simple. 2 offer vouchers to print out and take to your local borders store. 40% off any full price book and 20% off a CD/DVD. Only valid this weekend. The email arrived this morning (Friday) meaning all you had to do was print it off and all those questions in your mind about what to do with your Saturday were gone. A trip to Borders it is. Chances are you’re not just going to buy one book or CD though so it’ll be win/win for Borders. In my opinion this will be much more effective than the standard boring old crap about this month’s recommended new reading etc. I might just stay subscribed to Borders to see what they come up with in the future.
